I'm a scrooge, admittedly. My family is heading to Atlanta, Georgia to celebrate the holidays while I'm here in NYC playing dress up in my room. But I can't think of any place I'd rather be in the world. After all, NYC is the land of the freaks and home of the brave, no? Maybe I misinterpreted the national anthem?
My friends and co-workers all shuffled off early yesterday and are en-route to some "home bound" destination. While I'm here anxiously awaiting my new black dress and matching pumps. What can I say? You had 364 other days to give and get presents, drink, be merry and celebrate the birth of Jesus. Why
wait until Dec. 25th to celebrate? Don't you celebrate life, give generously, drink and make merriment all year? I do. So with no plans for this holiday, I get an invitation for Christmas Eve dinner at a friends. And for those of you who don't know, I struggle with being socially active. So I was impressed when I committed to going even though I considered cancelling a few times. But Santa came early & he delivered a hot little black dress and a pair of round toed black pumps, albeit 1 size too small. So any opportunity to put on heels will get this cross-dressing fashionista hailing a yellow cab at all ungodly hours of the night.
If you didn't read any of the above paragraphs, I don't blame yah! Lets talk about the real issue here, my fabulous outfit for tonight's din din. Black cut-out dress courtesy of http://www.asos.com/ and 6 inch heels from http://www.beverlyheels.com/. Ain't this some kinda nice? [insert redneck accent]. A classic black cocktail dress that will serve many occasions and black stripper heels to rival any YSL pump, hmm well maybe not. But what's a man who wears size 14 heels to do? Let me know what you think of the outfit & wish me best of luck while I scramble around my hood looking for a hostess gift. I'm thinking a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream? And if your Christmas Eve dinner outfit rivals mine, then send pics boo boo! In the meantime, la heim bitches and Happy Holidays!

ReplyDeleteIf you are going to say L'Chiam, try to make it less Nazi -like...Hiem is a little too close to Heil...and the only heels should be on those size 14s. (I do not claim to know how to spell the word btw) Cheers Heel Girl!
